one of my favorite interiors

Just after Christmas, a fellow blogger, Staci Edwards,  contacted me wondering if I would do a guest post about my favorite interior. Sure, I said, sounds simple enough. Well, last week I was faced with the task of actually having to choose that interior. Not an easy feat by any stretch of the imagination!

After much nail biting and web serving I finally settled on one interior. It’s sort of a blogger classic but a worthy one! Here’s a hint…

Any  guesses who this marble bathtub belongs to (or more correctly use to belong to)? To see the rest of the house, check out the post here. Thanks to Staci for having me over at her blog house, it was a pleasure!

And if any of you feel inclined, I challenge you to post a link of your favorite interior in the comment section below. I’d love to see what you choose. I know there are some amazing places out there that I’ve forgotten and it would be great to see what inspires each of you.

Excellent choice Emma! I actually have a list of my favorite home tours ever and it is so hard to choose only one. My current favorite is this LA apartment: http://www.housebeautiful.com/decorating/vintage-home-decor-1210

    Hi Emma,

I love this bathroom: http://www.architecturaldigest.com/images/resources/2011/02/glam_baths/12_glam_baths_th.jpg because I like things simple but if I was going for luxurious, this would be the one: http://www.architecturaldigest.com/homes/features/2011/02/glam_baths_slideshow#slide=12
Either way, I love those big luxurious tubs.

Love this pic – have not seen it before. Beautiful lines and then the casualness of the picture propped up – perfect. We have a stand alone bath too and though I never use it, its so restful – thanks – this will inspire me to take some pics of it…

no, i don’t think toronto really got any of those great, big, rambling brownstones. maybe some of those flop houses on gerrard at parliment were something akin to this? but it’s the windows that set it off – same with those beautiful london houses.
(this is SO my favorite house that it is literally the only one i have saved all the images from!)

Oh yes, I knew exactly who this one belongs to. It’s also featured in “Restoring a House in the City,” by Ingrid Abramovitch. A great book I bet you’d love. I agree that the bathroom is spectacular, but the kitchen with the wood, brick and those awesome stools blew me away!

@ nkp – Yes, Abbey over at Aesthetic Outburst mentioned that book today to me over on Twitter. She kindly said she was going to send me a copy! Can’t wait to see it. I wonder where those stools are from?

What an incredible bathroom! Imagine hanging out in that tub in the evening with the fireplace on! Mama Mia!

I love this Barcelona apartment. Love the contrasts between real old and real new.
