homemade oreos

We’re switching it up a bit here today. Normally I would have The Friday Files for you but I’m guest blogging over at The Sweet Potato Chronicles and thought I would give you as taste of what you will find over there. Two words, Homemade Oreos!

Have you visited The Sweet Potato Chronicles before? Any of you trying to feed your kids healthy meals will probably find it really informative and helpful. (And even those of you without kids will probably find some great meal ideas!) Ceri Marsh and Laura Keogh, the co-creators behind the blog, discovered with their own families, that delivering nutritional meals your kids will eat can be quite the challenge. They started this blog as a fun and guilt-free way to get the information out there about delicious and tasty family food.

In retrospect, my choice to make Homemade Oreos may not have been the best one! There’s nothing too nutritious or healthy about these cookies but when I saw the name I just had to make them. And hey, the alternative, store bought cookies, is much worse. Right?

To see the full post and get the recipe, click here. I’m also sharing a few of my secrets for baking with a two year old. Do you have a favorite or easy meal you like to make with your kids?

Happy weekend, everyone. I’ll be back here next week with a new Hello! Neighbor house tour. It’s a good one (possibly a new favorite, if I can say that) you won’t want to miss.
