guest post – designer file

Today, I’m continuing my guest post series with an entry from Chelsi of the blog Designer File. After graduating from the Ryerson School of Interior Design, Chelsi moved to London, England and worked as a colour consultant for Farrow and Ball for four years. She currently resides in San Francisco where she works for an interior design firm in Pacific Heights. Take it away, Chelsi!

This time of year always brings out the homebody in me. My time in London definitely left me with a slight tea obsession and I love the ritualistic nature that comes with the territory. It’s a great excuse to bring out your best cups and find the perfect leaf for that special brew. So with that in mind here are some of my favorite tea accouterments of the moment.

To Begin: The Tea

Bellocq  (The Hipster)

Mariage Freres (The Frenchie)

Fortnum and Mason (The Brit)

Then…The Perfect Cup

Do you have a favorite tea?

Oh, how I love Mariage Freres. Whenever I hear of a friend going to France, I always ask for a few tins to add to my stash. My favourite are the sachets of Marco Polo Green Tea which I take out only for the most special of occasions. And sometimes, those occasions are just me, my handmade cup, and a pot of tea to enjoy by the fire. Bliss!

These are beautiful photos. If you haven’t yet, you must try chocolate mint oolong tea.
