colour crush - indigo

indigo If I had to choose one colour for all seasons, it would have to be indigo.  It could be deep enough for the fall and winter and cool and refreshing for spring and summer.  I love mixing it with a neutral palette and wood tones.  Just like a good pair of jeans, it's goes with just about anything.  Have you incorporated indigo into your life?- Amy

colour crush - spring brights

spring colours Spring is here! Well....almost.  Lately I've been inspired by bright colours and bolder pieces so I've decided to try a little experiment.  I'm going to play with colours I wouldn't normally choose for myself.

An easy way to update your Spring wardrobe or freshen up your interior is to accessorize with new colours and patterns.  Do you tend to stick to neutrals or black and white?  Why not  mix it up and throw in an unexpected colour?  Go for a basic tee in a vibrant red or paint that old chair a nice bright yellow.  I challenge you to be a little more daring and not over-think your colour choices (which I'm guilty of), you may just surprise yourself.  Are you in? - Amy

colour crush - seafoam

seafoam green Seafoam, mint green, celadon,Hemlock - you can call it whatever you like. This hue is a reminder of past tropical vacations and a nod to the 1950's which makes it a popular choice for those who love vintage and mid-century. I love how it stands out against simple black+white, wood tones and even copper. Here are some examples to get you inspired. - Amy

colour crush - wood

wood tones and texture I spend most of my day in front of a computer but I would love to have more time to build, paint, craft and just create things that I love.  A big reason I am this way is because of my Dad.  He is a welder by trade but he's also very handy and creative.  I remember spending many weekends at Home Depot and watching him slave over projects with scrap pieces of wood (p.s. I think this is why I love the smell of cut wood and sawdust).  I just love the colour, texture and warmth that wood tones can bring to any space. -Amy.
