wish list - basket

If you were to ask me, "what is the one accessory I should buy for my house" I would probably say a basket. While vases and candelabras are nice and mirrors and clocks have their place none is as functional or beautiful to look at as a basket. You can use them for firewood, for magazines, for toys, for blankets, for fruit and vegetables, for towels, for hats and mitts, for keys and mobile phones...the list goes on and on. Not only do they corral all the clutter but they look great doing it adding a bit of warmth and texture to any room. They also work in practically every space from the living room, to the dining room,

to the bathroom,

to the hallway,

to the bedroom,

to the nursery,

to the kitchen,

to the office,

to whatever this room may be!

Recently, I saw the most beautiful basket made out of recycled paper of all things. It has a lovely, organic shape that sort of collapses into itself. It's high on my wish list this Christmas season. If you'd like to see a photo of it head over to Shannon's blog What's Up Whimsy. She's doing a great series this month highlighting blogger's Holiday wish list items. I'm kicking off the series along with some of my fellow Toronto bloggers. Have you made your wish list yet? Do tell!
