I have a bit of wanderlust at the moment. I'm dying to escape Toronto and visit some place that is entirely new and foreign to me. Lately, I've been thinking that I would like to travel to Dubrovnik but I wouldn't say no to Turkey or Corsica or even Iceland. I want to go some place where even the everyday ephemera of life looks different. One of my favorite things to do when I visit a new locale is to walk through the local grocery stores or supermarkets. Everyday items from soap to olive oil to shampoo can be total inspiring. Add to that a few maps or tokens you have picked up along the way and you start to get a picture of the place you are visiting.

Do you pick up everyday items when you are travelling? What do you do with them when you get home? What place are you dying to visit?
