Irene Hoofs, the author of Bloesem and Bloesem Kids, has a great series called Let's Get Personal where she tours the homes of artists and designers around the world. We were honoured when she asked us to participate. You can read the story here. Also find out my answers to what I think it means to be Canadian and some of my favorite places in Toronto.
I am so excited to tell you that my little blog was noticed by the always inspiring and brilliant blog, Bloesem, written by Irene. Please take a look at this lovely blog (and her other site Bloesem Kids) and marvel at her keen eye for design and knack for finding the beautiful in everything. Bloesem commented on the latest paint project in my kitchen. Recently, I added to this project by painting the door in our kitchen with the same chalkboard paint. I was inspired by this photo of a child-friendly hallway that I saw in Living Etc.
I thought what a great idea for our kitchen. I could use it for grocery lists and Harry could draw to his heart's content. Here is what it looked like before the paint...
As you can see, I attached a piece of chalk to the door with string so that we are not always searching for something to write with. I think Harry likes it too!
