paula's it's complicated kitchen

Today, Paula from the blog Two Ellie is guest posting. Paula blogs from Birmingham, Alabama about her home, children, fashion, and decorating. Her blog is abundant with inspiring images and great ideas. She recently posted about her kitchen which she updated with a simple coat of paint. I was blown away by the change. It's amazing what a little colour can do. Here is the before image: And the after:

Wow - what a difference. For information about what paint colour she used check out this post.

Now, it's Paula's turn to tell us a little bit more about another kitchen that inspired her. Enjoy!

It's Complicated is one of my all time favorite movies. I can watch it time and time again. I find the set to be quite inspirational. One of my favorite rooms is the kitchen.

A marble topped island along side a cutting board cart would make me rather happy. These two pendants mimic the ones on set quite nicely. White mixing bowls that can be used for cooking and display are always on my list. Copper pans are quite the splurge, but I have heard they are a dream to cook with. A simple striped fabric can make any counter stools a little extra special. Every time I watch the movie it inspires me to make something. Oh, and did I mention this is my first year on learning how to cook? Well, I am loving it to say the least. This is one of my favorite banana bread recipes. It's so easy and I always seem to have the ingredients on hand. I add a tad bit more vanilla and I use greek yogurt instead of regular though, like I said its what I have on hand.
