guest post - madame herve

Today my friend Tilda, who lives in Switzerland and blogs at Madame Herve, is filling us in on her favourite products for small children. I've never met Tilda yet I think of her as a kindred spirit. When she first found out I was pregnant in winter of last year she sent out a beautiful package filled with a onesie for Orla and the classic Swiss children's story, A Bell for Ursli, for Henry. Thank you Tilda! I hope one day we will meet. My name is Tilda and I am the founder of Studio Hervé, a designstudio based in the neighborhood of Zurich in Switzerland.

I'm really excited to be guest posting for Emma while she gets lots of lovin' time in with her new baby girl!! Enjoy!

Me, my husband and our 2.5 year old son Loïc, along with a menagerie of vintage stuff, designpieces, material and color samples, live in an old dairy, where we convert everyday messy chaos into life in the country... I graduated as a Product Designer and Interior Designer. After spending five years in the industry I left architecture.  Now, I run a design consulting studio, and we work on furniture and interior projects.

I would like to share some 'mom thoughts' about products for the little ones, that in my eyes are useful or smart in everyday life. Generally I think you need a lot of storage space, tons of supersoft blankets and some smart babyshoes. I added some Swiss (or European) related products as well, as example, you'll find the playkitchen Lili in numerous Swiss toddler households....

1 - Momoll : Play kitchen Lili
2 - Rianne Makkink & Jurgen Bey : Mohair woolen blanket
3 - Oskar Zieta : Kamm coat rack
4 - Collegien : Chaussons
5 - Alfredo Häberli : Take a line for a walk, Moroso
6 - Mohr Polster : Felt Baby swing
7 - Alfredo Häberli : Kids‘Stuff IITTALA
8 - Mika Tolvanen : Restore Basket, Muuto
9 - Sara Carr : Fox
