Today, I've asked another one of my former classmates to fill in for me while I attend to some other design business. Please welcome Alexandra Campbell of the blog Alexandra Campbell Design. I'm so happy Emma asked me to write a guest post! Anything I can do to help relieve her a bit from a busy schedule. Emma and I were classmates at Ryerson School of Interior Design. It's so neat to see where people end up after you graduate! I, myself, dove right into corporate design here in Toronto, although I'm itching to design my own house as she did. Right after graduation, I went on a two month trip to Europe - all of the 'must-see' places. Along the way, my friends and I stopped to visit a friend from Toronto, whose family owns a house in Carqueiranne, in the south of France. This place was beautifully Mediterranean with terracotta floors and an infinity pool on a cliff overlooking the dark waters below. We were in full relaxation mode, it was almost impossible to pry us away for even the shortest tour of the town. In fact, we even joked about it being like staying in a private Club Med! When I fell upon this house, I was instantly thrown back to my memories of that trip. This particular stunner belongs to fashion designer John Rocha. It's his getaway in St. Jean–Cap-Ferrat, France, not too far from where I was. I love the clean lines and the freshness of it all. In fact, it would probably be impossible to pry me away from this place, period.
