friday catchup

So here we are a month into a new year. I've always found January to be a hard month. It just seems to go on forever and ever but the end is in sight! Here are a few things I've been thinking about. 180322dbc596934cdc7a4029501e73cbEaster! I know that probably sounds strange but in the magazine world we're currently into April and May. I've been dreaming of daffodils, tulips and sweet smelling hyacinth and planning an Easter photo shoot which gets underway on Tuesday. I have to say that as much work as prop styling is I wouldn't give it up for anything. I love planning, executing and seeing the results of these shoots.

I have to admit that the other day I went through the Remodelista newsstand and a good quarter of the blogs I used to follow are no longer around. There's also talk about slow blogging which I have to admit appeals to me. Longer, more beautiful, more thoughtful posts just not so often. This post by Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge is worth a read.
