coriander girl

Recently, I popped into a relatively new flower shop in our Parkdale neighbourhood, called Coriander Girl. The owner, Alison Westlake has put together a lovely little store filled with handwritten chalkboards, marble countertops, vintage apron front sinks and rustic white washed tables. It is a charming, romantic store that hits all the right notes.

Alison's whimsical aesthetic also comes through in her flower arrangements which look like they have been just picked. She uses a lovely combination of lush flowers mixed with berries, twigs, and forest found greens.

Coriander Girl takes every small detail into account from the vintage glass bottles she uses to display flowers to her cards which are printed in a handwritten scroll on rectangular pieces of brown cardboard.

On my last visit, I also saw these fabulous ceramic jars made by heyday design in Vancouver. Wouldn't they be great filled with flowers on your tabletop this summer?
