On the weekend, we went to visit our friends Paul & Rachel for their annual local country fair. Henry and Shep appear to be in full control of their vintage helicopter!
For me the best thing about visiting Paul and Rachel (other than their great company) is being in their lovely house. Note the well placed bottle of gin tucked between the cake stand and jar full of cheerios!
Since I was last there they have painted the wall in the dining room black, added a new table and chairs and put up this vintage sign. Rachel is a get-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night kind of painter. Once she has an idea she just goes for it!
This whimsical play shack sits at the foot of their vegetable garden down a brick path.
Another quiet moment from their home.
Before we left the country, I went to visit another house in Orono. It was amazing! We're going to go back soon and shoot it for an upcoming Hello! Neighbor post.
This week we had to pull out the sweaters. Orla's first of the season!
I found this photo of me in a drawer this week hitching a ride with some cute older man from the neighbourhood. Note the blue and white dress which Orla has been sporting this summer.
How has this second week of September treated you?
