a farmhouse visit and more

Can you believe it is September already? Where did the summer go? This one seemed to fly by for me. In fact, I looked at the chalkboard in our kitchen the other day and realized I still had dates up from when Henry finished school in June! It seems like yesterday. I thought I would send you into the weekend with a little bit of what I have been up to outside of The Marion House Book. Enjoy!

IMG_3013First up is a little ode to summer vacations. Check out my visit to a charming Ontario farmhouse a few hours out of the city.

My dream is to have my own country house one day. While that is a long way off it doesn’t stop me from planning how and what I might decorate it with like these beautiful hand carved gardenia knobs from Anthropologie. See more of my faves over here.

Are you thinking of redoing one of your kid’s room this fall? Or maybe you have a baby on the way? If so, you’ll want to see what I think are the five current trends in Kids’ Room designs.

Living in the country, especially in an old Century home became a dream of mine since we’ve started exploring rural Ottawa. Maybe one day when everyday commute to work is not an issue…
Thank you for the link to the farmhouse…so much light and tranquility.
