If you know me, than you know that I have a weakness for bed linens. I honestly cannot seem to get enough of them. At times, it is nearly impossible to close our hall linen closet door because there are blankets and sheets tumbling out of it. I push and shove them in and then slam my back against the door hoping that everything stays in place. Below is object number forty-one, one of my absolute favourite items.

I love this blanket! I have an old one from my grandparents – it’s camel coloured with black stripes and we have it on our bed during the winter time.
Did you know that the thin black lines indicate the quality (5 point blanket vs a 4 point or 3 point) – it indicates how many beaver furs were required to buy the blanket. The Bay has a lovely book on the history.
I once saw a Bay blanket hanging out of a dumpster on the DTES. Sometimes I wonder if I should have fished it out and had it dry cleaned… Though, if you’ve ever been to Vancouver’s DTES, I’m sure one can understand why I didn’t.
I LOVE HUDSON’S BAY BLANKETS…
I am shopping for one, but don’t want to pay $$$. So I will keep on looking
Love those blankets. WOuld look perfect in my son’s room!
I just got back from NYC and a vintage store had a STACK of gorgeous old ones in various shades of blues, greens, etc. AMAZING!!
Gorgeous!! I’ve always wanted one, maybe I shall ask for one this Christmas
The Bay blankets are so lovely, so classic. I have long wanted one and keep my eyes peeled at vintage shops and online. Thanks for the post!
Love this
I too have a weakness for linens! I grab some from every place I travel, and wouldn’t you know, my latest favourite is from right here at home, our Hudson Bay Blanket that we just received as a wedding gift!
I just purchased a red point blanket ( a double from what I can tell of the points) at an estate sale for $20!! It’s beautiful and I love it…
Have you ever seen this site, it’s really informational:

Cheers!
@kristen – that website is great! Really informative and interesting. I had no idea that HBC had a special Sea to Sky Olympics point blanket for instance. Thanks for the link.
